Right Relationship is at the heart of our mission and therefore we offer training to everyone who books a full tour with El Nur. In order to experience Egypt in an authentic way – to travel like you’ve been invited – our travelers engage in Right Relationship Training. We talk about how to show up in a good way, discuss the culture of the places we are visiting, and offer helpful perspectives and context of the areas and people we will meet along the way. We talk about the importance of language, customs and community and set the table for the experience we all will share. We find this helps our travelers to socially locate themselves, become curious about what it means to show up in a good way and understand how their tour has ripple effects that can impact things far beyond their visit.
Trip Preparation
We start the conversation and the story before you arrive. El Nur Tours helps our travelers prepare for their trip by:
- Engaging in a hands-on process for itinerary development
- Creating a packing lists and recommendations well in advance of the tour
- Gathering information through our intake process to ensure we can accommodate identified needs
- Scheduling Right Relationship Training with our travelers in a virtual setting before the trip, as well as ongoing conversations while we sail
When to visit
- High season is typically October through February and is a lovely time to visit.
- The weather ranges from 60-82 degrees in October and November.
- The weather ranges from 59 – 72 degrees December through February.
- We can offer tours outside of these months and assist in preparation for trips that occur when it may be warmer or colder.
- There are many special times to visit or not visit — both cultural and religious — and we consider and communicate these times during our itinerary development phase.
Trip Integration
Our tour and relationship does not end when you return home. We provide post-trip correspondence and opportunities to continue the path of Right Relationship. Through this community, other opportunities are available and ways to connect are ever present. We offer tours to communities led and stewarded by Original People with whom to cultivate relationship and continued contribution.
